A stopover before we caught the Glacier Express from nearby St.Moritz, Zernez is located in the very northeast of Switzerland. It is right next to the huge Swiss National Park. We didn't get there this time but we had some fantastic sun, so we just lazed away the afternoon doing some reading in the nearby beer garden.

The evening turned into a bit of fun when we retired to a bar where there was a very excited group of middle-aged Swiss gathering in anticipation around the TV. We were told that a show was coming on which was being filmed in their home town of Zug, near Zurich. We tried to follow what was going on. It looked like a cross between Masterchef - sausage special, with Hey Hey it's Saturday, but on Sunday. They had a huge live audience sat in what must have been their town square. The best part of the show's format was getting to know the lives of members of the community. The local postman, reed maker, butcher etc. The group in the bar were pretty excited seeing what must have been people they know on TV. The show goes all around different parts of Switzerland.
