Day 4
Today we had planned to visit Latacunga which sounded beautiful in our guide book. However when we arrived at the bus terminal it looked so awful that we just boarded another bus to Banos instead. This proved a wise decision as Banos is lovely - pheww! It meant we had another long day travelling but it was fine.
In the evening we went to a local bar and Richard enjoyed sampling a variety of cocktails!
Day 5 - Banos
We had a lovely breakfast in a local cafe before booking our Amazon trip - v exciting - set off tomorrow morning so Rich will spend his birthday in the jungle! Don´t expect emails until Sunday at the earliest as I have just learnt that emails and my hairdryer won't work there - gutted!´
After breakfast we set off on a trek around the mountains of Banos. It was great but pretty tiring - think we need to do lots of these to prepare us for the everest region in a few months! We saw some amazing views, walked close to the volcano and enjoyed chilling out at the top admiring the scenery.
Great to hear from you all - please keep emailing it is lovely to hear what you are all up to. Soph tell me what it was like in the New forest? Em´s how come you have a new teacher - just for a day or for the year? Sorry to hear you are having bad weather - you will be pleased to hear it is beautiful here!!! Hope everyone is good - how is the footie Sam? Dad, what happened in the bush fire? How many left?!! Mum, are all those sheets clean yet - any more guests planned? (Mum you know what I mean - Rich thinks this sounds bit odd!) Hope all the Clarkes are well - any baby movements yet? Send our love to Grandma.
Love to you all,
Jen and Rich
