3rd Oct - Devil´s Nose Train Ride This was an amazing day. After a quick breakfast at 5.30 am we got ready to board the train. As you can see we chose the roof option - a popular choice! Thanks for all the birthday messages - jungle life was amazing but quite glad to be back to a few creature comforts!! Stayed with some indigenous tribes, went on a night walk and saw some caimans, swam in a few waterfalls and spotted a snake in one - aghh! Our guide was great - we stayed in 2 different places with the indigenous people - cooking and toilet facilities v basic - tried some local delicacies - mmm - delicious!! We survived the jungle!! Wow - what an adventure! After a long drive with our guide and an Austrian girl we arrived in the jungle! Day 4 Today we had planned to visit Latacunga which sounded beautiful in our guide book. However when we arrived at the bus terminal it looked so awful that we just boarded another bus to Banos instead. This proved a wise decision as Banos is lovely - pheww!
