2 Months, 13 days til we touch down in London.
It is closer than it has ever been!
We've made a few more firm plans for our time in each city, being careful to leave thresh-room for spontaneous exploration! Here's what we've got lined up starting in...
London:
Theatre Night! How can you go to London, and not take in a show in the West End? It's like going to Manhatten and skipping Broadway altogether! For a couple of musical-gagas... that just wouldnt be an option. So we have booked tickets for an evening at the Palace Theatre, showing the smash hit theatre adaptation of ... Singin' in the Rain! Squeal! We are such embarassingly BIG fans of the ground-breaking film starring Gene Kelly, Donald Oconnor and Debbie Reynolds, so you can imagine our pure JOY at the opportunity to see it on stage! "What a glorious feeling!"
You can see more on the official show site: http://www.singinintherain.co.uk/
Jack the Ripper Tour. At night, we will wander the cobblestone streets and historic alleys of old London where Jack the Ripper began his lore and rose to infamy. Creepy, but a totally unique way to explore the history of London's oldest neighbourhoods.
The Beatles Tour to Liverpool. We'll be 'daytrippers' to Liverpool where our inner-Beatle-Geek will emerge loud and proud! We'll tour The Cavern where the Beatles palyed their first gigs, we'll see the places where John, Paul, George and Ringo grew up and other notable sights/photo ops! We are going to be shamelessly fanatic..all day, on a bus with other shameless fanatics.
Of course, we're cramming in a few days of sightseeing by double decker bus and shopping...London MUSTS!
More to come...
