Bad weather day today, didn't stop play.

Went and explored Christchurch by foot today, yes a lot of fallen buildings and signs still from the earth quake but you can see they are slowly getting there we loved the re start mall which is them shipping containers made into great shops, oh yes some great shops we did a bit of retail shopping, just to help the retailers ( if you can beleave me...) that is my reason for shopping.

We also went to a small exhibit called Quake City, the Canterbury earthquake story, here we heard personal earthquake story's from the people who lived though it, we see many significant objects and imagery, like the big church bell, we also learned about the science of the earthquakes. Then the results and plans to what the future holds for the city for when work is completed it sure will be a splendid place to revisit and we hope to return one day in a few years time.
There are lots of little objects around the city that make you smile like in my photo today the large grass settee and arm chairs that Betty and Neil are sitting on. Made us laugh just trying to get up on them, they are a lot bigger than you think. Lol xxxxx
