We started the morning with a walk around Udaipur and had breakfast in a lovely little German cafe which made a change; I do love a curry but first thing in the morning can be abit much even for me! After this I took an Indian cooking class where I learned how to make chai, a few curries, rice and chapati's. The teacher nicknamed myself and Fran the Spice Girls! It was alot of fun...Come Dine With Me better be ready when I'm home! When the class was finished we devoured what we had cooked for our lunch...delicious!
In the evening we went to a traditional Rajasthan folk dance show - we sat on benches in a palace courtyard, under a massive tree. Lots of bats flying above our heads added to the atmosphere. The show was outstanding - at one point a woman had ten huge bowls balancing on her head whilst dancing on pieces of shattered glass! The dresses they wore were gorgeous, in every colour imaginable! A pure feast for the eyes.
There are alot of hippie typr folk here in Udaipur and I truly am starting to feel like a fully fledged backpacking hippie which I love! I feel like I am totally immersing myself in the Indian culture and it feels good!
We ended the night with a few drinks in Adam and Fran's room, beer and music...happy days!
