We took a morning bus to Pushkar. I was quite tired after the previous nights session so I slept most of the way. At one point however I was continuously woken by the bibbing of a van next to us, this went on for about twenty minutes until the van driver over took our bus and stopped sideways so we could not get past! An arguement then ensuedbetween both drivers and although I could not see I was informed that one of the workers from the bus had got out and the guys from the van were whacking him with a stick - road rage at its worst!!
Pushkar is beautiful, our hotel seems to be in the middle of nowhere, from every veranda all you can see is mountains. Amazing scenery - a complete contrast to the noisy, chaotic cities we have visited. It is a very holy town - no meat, eggs or alcohol are allowed here.
The group went for a walk around today but I gave it a miss as my bites were really irritating me and I burnt my left arm through the window of the bus...I didn't put any suncream on in the morning as I was in a rush to get ready...tut tut!
Going to get in bed with my book.
