This morning we went for a walk around the part of Goa we were staying in. Me, Jessica and Louise went for some breakfast then headed down to the beach, I didn't really like the idea of stripping down to my bikini as most of the women were quite covered on this beach so we went back to the hotel and chilled around the pool for the rest of the afternoon.
In the evening we went out for Clara's 21st birthday (another group member) we bought some alcohol and had a few drinks in our tour guides room to start then we went to get some fabulous food from a street stall. While we were sitting on the pavement eating we heard bangs and saw lights at the top of the road. As it got closer we realised they were fire ceackers - being let off down the whole road. We ran into a nearby shop for cover, it was quite frightening but funny at the same time - all of us running for our lives. I think they were to do with the Ganesh festival that has been going on.
We took a cab to Baga Beach and went to a bar called Cape Toen Cafe where the celebrations started. We danced all night, I kept having a dance off with this tiny Indian guy - it was so funny and kept the group amused. We continued to dance for hours then headed to another bar by which time our group had doubled in size - everyone wanted to join our party! We had French guys, Brazilians, Americans and Indians with us until 5am! Was such a fun night ... felt like something from The Hangover!
