Today has been my first time-tabled day..Just heard some of the older kids read to me, which I actually really enjoy because I can really remember being in their shoes and doing exactly the same thing and it's great to read some familiar kids stories! Some of the kids are so sweet..they get really excited about the pictures..if only all kids were so easily satisifed!..On Fridays I now have two periods with standard 7 English..they are currently doing "The Hobbit"..genuinly excited..also gonna be involved in "book week"..I'm really glad I have lots of variety..every day I work with Standard 5, 6, and Pre-school and then in the evenings I'm with my dorm kids who are standards 3 and 4..so it's gonna be really good I think..Today I bought some really nice green Indian shoes (okay so their flip-flops, but they still look very Indian!) Lizzie had to barter the price for me, because that's something I haven't attempted yet and not sure I will to be truthful! Being really well fed here..the school food sometimes doesn't have a very good reputation amongst the school kids, but I'm pretty satisfied with having all my meals provided, always having a pudding, and getting so many differnent types of meals..we also have things like pancakes for breakfast, which is amazing..but not that great for you when you do it too much, so I'm relunctantly relinquishing from them! I really wanna bring everyone back some really nice Indian presents so if you have any preferences please let me know (preferebly light weight for getting them back home) because I'm a bit stuck as to what people would like..mind you surprises are sometimes best!
