Yes and there we were, tons and tons of places to visit and loads of things to do! We started our day at Washington Square, to photograph the famous arch that you see everywhere. Honestly we were on our way to find Carlo's bakery, the famous Cake Boss one but after a couple of blocks of walking, we were tired of looking and went of to the park to find the arch.
After that we moved to Soho. From the tourist city tour bus it seemed like a really cool place, and that is exactly what it was! After getting Netteh starstruck at the Dr. Martins store, we got some real home made lemonade. It was really refreshing and good, I definitely loved it. But afterwards we kept on walking until we came to some sort of costume shop where we were allowed to try one costume on. There were so many choices and it was amazing! See the pictures for more of that of course.
We moved along to Harlem afterwards, where a lot of people speak Spanish honestly. It's funny because we all know Harlem comes from the Dutch Haarlem, and yet it's totally different. The city is a bit like the Bronx, but still a little bit better. After a Oreo McFlurry we went off to Target and we've been there for quite a while. There is just so much to see that we don't have here. It makes it fun to walk around there. And we had some salad for dinner at their restaurant and went back to the hotel after. We wanted to buy an umbrella for the rain because everyone was walking with them, but when we got outside it was just raining a little and we laughed at the fact that we wanted to buy an umbrella for that!
On the subway tracks we found a bowling ball, which is actually quite funny if you think of it. I mean, who puts a bowling ball on the subway tracks? Oh! And we did a good deed today, gave a begging woman some money because she told us she needed to buy diapers (there are a lot of those around here and this womand was just different from the rest). And we got complimented by a person who just walked by when we threw something in the trash. We are good citizens!
