Tuesday 26th June
Arrived at Kings Cross station at 5pm & after a short taxi ride we were at 'Thistle Euston Hotel' at 5.20!
Dinner tonight was at a tiny African restaurant that seated 12 people! The food was delicious although the rice dish was quite hot & spicy. The home-made Ginger Beer went well with the food however.

Wednesday 27th
After brekky this morning we booked a tour on the Harrod's bus & bought tickets to 'The Jersey Boys'.
Took a taxi to Harrods & had look around - it's massive & like a rabbit warren!
At 12.50pm we made our way to the bus stop where we boarded the Harrod's bus for a tour of London, stopping at the back of Tower of London for a quick bite to eat before boarding a cruise boat to go up the Thames. This time without commentary as it was just a ferry service. Tour ended back at Harrods where we enjoyed a Champagne Tea! A glass of bubbly & a delectable selection of crustless sandwiches, cakes & scones with jam & clotted cream as well as a pot of of tea.
Delicious!
After walking through the maze of Harrods again we went on to Prince Edward Theatre. The Jersey Boys was absolutely wonderful, we all thoroughly enjoyed it. Good day!

Thursday 28th
At 12o'clock we left our bags at hotel & walked around the area, withdrew some money from ATM at Euston train station. Mum & I went for a manicure & I had a pedicure also. Then onto the 'Crown & Anchor' (a local pub on Drummond Rd) for lunch - I enjoyed some English pork sausages with pea /spud mash & red wine gravy. And a gin & tonic.
Went back to hotel to wait for our previously booked private taxi to take us to Heathrow airport. Our driver arrived early but the traffic was heavy, however we got to the airport with 31/2 hours to spare. (story here)
After getting thru security & having a body scan, I made a beeline for the London Lounge. After some food & wine and freshening up, I felt a lot better. Was able to charge my iPad here.(story here)
Boarded our A380 & settled in before take off at 10.35pm.
I set my bed up & fell asleep straight away - sleeping for several hours until just before brekky. Watched a movie "the Best Exotic Marigold Hotel" with Judy Dench.
