Hellooooooooo!!!
So I made it! After about 24 hours of travelling (which surprisingly seemed like less as the hours kept dropping off at every destination i reached).
5 hours wait at the airport involved a lot of eating and not so much socialising and surprisingly no freaking out! My flight from Heathrow left at about 3 and i quickly made friends with a canadian sitting next to me. Really long boring flight with no choice of movies and way to much plane food.
Anyway so yesturday at 6 i got to Toronto , Canada. The most rediculously planned out city i have ever seen in my life....Then i made friends with a Mexican guy called Hector who i chated to for about an hour before the flight. He´d been studying in Krakow and was really jelous that i had gone to Glastonbury. Also after bringing up the subject of Mexican cinema (elvis, imogen you´ll love this....) he revealed that he knew Diego Luna from Y Tu Mama Tambien!!!!! Awesome. We got chatting about places to visit in Mexico and when i mentioned i was visiting Oaxaca, he told me about some crazy spanish hippy lady who livs in a cave on the hill and runs a small, unkown ´hostel´for backpackers....and feeds them magic mushrooms! So he´s going to find out where it is and let me know wooooo.
So yeh anyway, flew into mexico city last night at midnight after a very bumpy ride- was the most amaazing experience! Its like a fairyland - the lights go on for miles and its absolutely fecking huge!!!! Met 2 english girls who said they had been on the same flight as me all the way from heathrow , so luckily that solved the taxi problem (o and taxi´s here are just as mental as thailand rachel). So i arrived at Hostel Amigo and met up with dan and ricky.
Today were off to the Zocalo (main square -again one of the biggest in the world) to be tourists. I´m looking forward to some proper mexican food ....and drink! Tonight i think is going to be a big one so i´ll let you know how it goes!
Much love and peas to you all
