Today we found lots of friends! New friends! Met some American girls last night who we've been hanging out with, we spent the day in down town Lima, not terrible amounts to see but was interesting, then we got quite lost in some non touristy area where everyone stared at us because we are whities, but luckily Amy (the American girl) spoke Spanish and chatted to one of the police men who brought us to safety. Also today we were papped by a lot of Peruvians wanting to take pictures of white people, we should have charged and we'd've made a bomb! Then We got a crazy taxi back to the hostel And met some more new friends, this time German friends! Who contrary to popular belief, were quite funny, and all dentists. We then hung out for a while and went for dinner with our roomies, the Americans and the Germans, and a local Peruvian who worked in the hostel and was sweet talking Amy, we thought we were going for some local Peruvian food but we just walked for ageees, but was nice as we just chatted to the Germans for ages. And eventually we found somewhere to eat, but it was pizza, not terribly Peruvian. Also we met some more friends as we're planning to head to huachina a kind of oasis in the dessert and were ping to book it through the hostel but its way cheaper to do it on a local bus and these girls wanted to do the same thing, so now we are hanging out with Kelly and Britney, Californians. Got up super early this morn to get a taxi I the bus place and am currently siting on the bus writing this to pass the 5hour journey. At breakfast this morning we also picked up a Canadian to add to the mix, who is now coming with us as part if the huicachina gang. We're going to go sand boarding. Exiting!
