The adventures of Sarah & Brian
Well what can you say about Vegas, it's exactly what you expect, huge over the top casino's, bright lights, partying and smut. You can't help but be amazed by the sheer scale of everything, it takes you about an hour to find your way out of a casino.
To sum up our activities in Vegas, we did......well......basically nothing. Spent nearly the whole time on The Strip wandering aimlessley. Due to the excitment of meeting Vickie and Christian we mostly scoured casino's for bars (which is sometimes harder than you would think) and homed in on the cheapest ones we could find - dollar beers, yes!!
Had 2 nights of drinking till the morning, looked around various casinos and shops and stuffed our faces with buffets. Made the error a couple of times of having a buffet at night which hindered our drinking abilities - never make that mistake.
We did have one day out, to Hoover Dam and Red Rock Canyon which was good.
Made it on to another street one night - Freemont street to see the light show which was extremely poor. They have changed from airplanes flying and psychodelic lights to just some birds dancing around in shorts - whoopy do, even the boys were'nt impressed.
Only did a small amount of gambling, we all lost $20 in 30 seconds on roulette and put some quarters in slot machines. I did win $18 on the penny slot machine though - woooooo.
There is a lot to do though if you can just get out of lazy mode; rides, shows various touristy things. If we'd have done those instead we'd probably have spend about half the amount of money we did just drinking and eating.
Viva Fat Vegas!!
