Bonjour!
well, It's been about a month and a half since the plane took off at YVR, and it's just starting to sink in. In both good and bad ways (I'm not gonna sugar coat this one guys...sorry!)
I'm still finding new places to explore outside of my school, and honestly, it's sometimes a nice break just to walk around with all the fally-ness (The leaves are starting to fall and the air's a little crispy). School is definatly a challenge. I'm starting to think that grade 12 will be a joke after all this! Spanish remains a total downer...especially when I don't know what the question is, let alone the answer. I'm hoping that that will change, otherwise I may have some difficulties this year. But it's not all bad at school, I've managed to get a couple good marks and I can proudly say that I now understand what my history teacher is saying!
In terms of missing home, I'm not going to lie. I MISS YOU GUYS SOOOOO MUCH!It's not that I don't love it here (because I do! I promise), It's just that I never realized how many little things I took for granted, and how great Vancouver really is. I know everyone is probably thinking "what is she talking about? Vancouver is so boring" And I'm not even going to try and convince you otherwise, because it really is something that you have to live through yourself. I would never have believed that I would miss vancouver. But seriously, don't worry. I'm never sad for more then a couple minutes at a time, and usually I find something to distract myself (Today, I heard part of Hakuna Matata on the radio, and that was all I needed to put me back in a good mood. Wierd eh?)
Well, soon it will be October, and for me that means a ten day holiday and a week in Paris. (I feel your jealousy, even from across the Atlantic Ocean) I'm counting down the days!
Until next time,
Sarah
