Life in Oz!
We got to sleep in a little bit, we started heading back to the Sunshine Coast at 8:30. We stopped in a little town called Miriam Vale for breakfast. We ate at a small café, the food was alright but most of mine got cold before I had a chance to eat it. We stopped just outside of Childers to get some homemade ice cream. We saw a sign for it and were able to convince Gene to stop. It was a little family owned business that specialized in macadamia nut products and the homemade ice cream. It was ok; I wasn't too impressed with the mango flavour in it. Driving along we had noticed random piles of dirt all over and were wondering what they were. We found a side road to pull off on and found a pile to investigate. They were big piles of dirt that sounded hollow. We broke part of one open and lots of ants scurried about, so now we know what the giant hill are. We got into Mooloolaba about 3:45 and they found a hotel down by the Wharf. We came back here and I gave them a tour of the Uni before heading over to mass. Apparently you have to bring your own palms for Palm Sunday but a local gave us a palm. After mass we walked back to UniCentral and they met Brendan. We hadn't eaten yet so we went back to Mooloolaba and ate at the Hog's Breath Café on the Wharf. Our waitress was from Seattle and was a lot of fun to talk to. They all came back to my apartment to check their email one last time before they left. I have lots of homework to do today so they are going to find something to do tomorrow and then head back to Brisbane to tour there before flying out on Wednesday. I wanted to go visits some of my mates because it seemed like I hadn't seen them for a long time after being gone for 4 days but I talked to Emma for a while and then went to bed so I could get a lot of homework on Monday.
