Life in Oz!
I had to go to my tutorial for the cabinet simulation which wasn't very interesting. I came back here and talked to my mate Kristy who is from Bundaberg to get some ideas of what we should see. I then packed before everyone arrived at 10:45 to pick me up. We headed into Maroochydore to drop off the car Dave and Cyrilla hired since they went to the outback. We headed up towards Bundaberg and stopped at Maryborough for lunch. We were going to eat at a tavern but since it was almost 2pm they were done with lunch already so we went down the street to a fish and chips shop. Once we got in to Bundaberg we stopped at the info centre and booked a boat excursion to Fitzroy Lagoon for Saturday. It was getting late and we still needed a hotel for the night. The lady that we talked to at the info centre recommended that we stay in Bargara which is a neighbouring town to Bundaberg but is on the beach. We checked out a few places before we decided on Bargara Blue where we got a 3-bedroom penthouse suite! It was very nice and had a good view of the ocean. There were a few trees and another hotel in the way but we still spotted a few dolphins Friday morning from our balcony. It would have been better if I would have gotten a bed but the couch worked too. There was a golf course across the street where we had tea and then bought a bottle of wine to drink on our balcony. It was a really nice night and we could hear the waves from the ocean.
