Hey Guys!
First of all let me tell you that Goa is amazing, the sunsets are amazing I'd say as good if not better than the sunset strip, and those who know what that's like will get an understanding of it here! I finished off last time leaving Colaba in Mumbai to go to my hotel which was closer to the airport, it was pretty much a dive pretending to be a 5* Hotel. The only good thing was that there were no beds in the 10 bed dorm that I'd booked so was upgraded free of charge to a double room! It stank of piss tho! Ugh! So I spent most of the night wathcing world police shoot outs, nothing like a bit of crap american TV to keep you occupied! I also read alot more of New Moon I think its better than Twilight. Woke up at 9am for my lift to the airport. I checked in think I was the first as i got the first seat - a window one! I went to the coffe shop and had a latte and toast and read another capter of new moon. I went through security and then got straight onto the plane. I think it was the soomthist boarding of my life. As we taxied down the runway it was strange to see the slums in touching distance of the plane. A short flight to Goa. We landed on the time however due to how small the airport is it took us 20 mins to get to the departure point. beacuse the runway is the only bit of tarmac and is also a road. Mad! As I waited for my bag I booked a taxi down to Palolem as it was 75km away it cost 1250 Rps a mere 18 quid. After a terrifying taxi journey with speeds of 90mph down single track roads i arrived in what only can be described as paradise@ I'm staying at Coco Huts 400 Rps p/n its just basically a bamboo hut! Beautiful. Don't need an ensuite I've got the sea to wash in! I walked down the beach to the main road and bought some stuff. When i came back I caught the last bit of sun and had my first swim in the Arabian Sea! Amazing. I seriously don't feel like I'm in India anymore. They're is still "sir, sir, hello..." but somehow it feels nice in this surounding. I spent the night witha couple of girls from London who are mad. They were both reps in greece last year so you know the kind. Got drunk with them and watched a couple of guys singing songson their guitars.
Although the idea of a beach hut sounds amazing - sleeping in one isn't! Think it was probably the worst nights sleep since I'd started out! I've been bitten alot and I've got one patch on my leg I obviously missed out on my sun cream applying cos its beetroot!!! So I've decide I'm gonna stay one more night here in Palolem and then to Anjuna. Goa's largest flea market is held there every Wednesday so I've booked a taxi for 9am its about a 2 hour drive but it'll be nice to be in a car. The other option is the local bus which is about 4 hours amd 4 changes. Don't think I'd be able to hack that. Tonight Im meeting up with the girls from London and some more ozzys (there everywhere) and heading to a silent discoit'll be fun haven't been to one since glasto! Hope your all good and not too jealous of my hot weather! I'll update the blog before I leave India and try and put some photos up! Love Adam xx
