Hey Guys!
So I got my 18 hour train at 2pm from Jaipur to Mumbai. It was ok part from a weird guy asking if he could buy some of my clothes as he likes english clothes, and then saying that he loves the build of english people and strange stuff like that! Thankfully he got of after one stop! So after a little bit of home sickness, relieved by texts from stace and mum, I managed to have a good nights sleep! The train arrived into Mumbai at 8am, I was immediately grabbed by a man who said "You want taxi?" I did so i went with him. I knew everything was more expensive in Mumbai but the taxi ride cost me bout 450 Rps, as I convert it into English I'm laughing because its only like 4 quid, but its expensive for India. Luckly some peeps I met in Agra were staying at the place I wanted to stay, they text me to let me know I was on the waiting list. So I got there and luckily they had a room that would be available at 12, so I went off and did a little exploring. Mumbai is very similar to London apart from the heat and the poverty. So anyway at 12 I was able to check into the hotel and just chilled out for abit as it was about 34 degrees!! In the afternoon I went on a boat ride (i was thinking of you Anna when i was on the boat!!) to Elephanta Caves, which are some caves that were made in like the 17th Century or something. So that was cool although a monkey tired to rob my drink from my hand! When I came back had the spiciest chicken fried rice I'd ever had in my life then went to bed. In the morning I'd arranged to meet up with Amelie and Will who I'd met in Agra, we went for breakfast then agreed to meet up for tea. I went for a days sightseeing after this saw the biggest outside laundry in Asia which was strange, hopefully I'll be able to put pics up soon. I went to a varity of other places, it was good to see the rest of the city. This place in Mumbai called Marine Drive, could be in LA or Miami easily, it was so weird to see the constrast between the rich and the poor! After I went to get a lassi, a yoghurt drink that Amelie had introduced me to! In the evening I met up with the guys again and we went to this really nice contempary cafe/bar it could easily fit into London. Nice to have some proper food!!!
So this morning I have checked out of my hotel as I'm moving to one closer to the aiport for my flight to Goa tomorrow! Its about an hours cab ride so I'm getting ready to fight the heat and do some haggling!!! Good to keep getting your messages so keep them coming!!!
