Hey everyone,
Its abit cloudy today so i decided to leave you a little blog. No really much to say apart from that we have extended our stay here on the island because its just so easy to live here and its amazing.
We have met some lovely people over here, and some very weird people at the same time. Il start off with the nice people.
We are good friends with the people in the tattoo place and also the sunflower bar which is right opposite. I/We spend most of our time and nights down the end of the beach. Its alot quieter and more chilled out so its easy to talk to people and just generally do what you want. Read our books or practice my POI's. I dont think i will be getting anymore tattoos just yet as i think the one i have now is enough (just to put your mind at rest mum!). So back to my POI's. For any of you who dont know what they are go to the link below:

Its two bits of material on the end of arm length chains. You light them with lighter fluid and then begin to put a sequence of moves together so that you can entertain people with a fireshow on the beach etc. I have been practicing for about 6/7 days now and im not too bad. I have learnt some pretty good moves and hopefully with more practice il become alot better. No burns yet but thats because i havent lit them. I need to learn one more move backwards so that i can turn whilst doing the show and i reckon thats it then, burns a go go!
We also met someone called Ben who actually owns the property for the Tattoo shop and the sunflower bar. He is in his early 40s i think and has a child with an Ozzy woman called MEl who is also nice. I like Ben but he is a very scary man and here is why. For all of you who live near me the island is about the size of St Albans road (but smaller) and for you who work with me then the island is about half the size of baker street. Ben already had a family over here as he was previously married to an English woman is Chelsea. When the Tsunami hit, he was the only person to survive it on that side of the island. His whole family was wiped out. He knows the dates and times of everything in his life and frequently tells people the same story over again and again, but only if he meets you enough times. He looks into your eyes and doesnt move whilst he tells you this. Its quiet threatening but he wouldnt hurt anyone. He just wants you to know that no matter who you are, that you will never be apart of this island and that theres nothing that you can do to change anything there. He tries to make you feel insignificant but he is a nice man deep down. Im glad i met someone who could show us the reality of actually what happened here rather than just seeing some photos on the wall.
So i said we met some nice people and also some weird people. I met a guy two days ago, not sure what his name was. I was there just on the edge of the sunflower bar practising my Poi and noticed he looked lost. So i asked him if he needed any help. He said hello and then asked if i had anything to smoke (drugs), i told him i dont smoke and that he was looking in the wrong place and then he started to explain that in bangkok he was living on the streets because he didnt like the guest houses. This guy is switz and he told me that he has never been in thai restaurant. Everyday he would buy a baguette and a whole salami sausage and just eat that all day. Abit strange!
He said that he writes poems and then asks people for donations if they want to hear his poems! Annie, the girl at the tattoo place, told us that he would walk up to the view point and ask them if they would like him to read them a poem so that it would take their mind of the long climb. lol
So you get a mixed bag here but if its one thing i have noticed the stranger people always travel on their own! I dont think that is a coincidence!
So i had my tattoo aswell last week and i must say it was the most painful thing i have ever done. 3 sessions and about 14 hours with breaks in between. I mean its so good that even that other shops know who did my tattoo. The artists name is Wang and he is so good that he has even had one of his bamboo tattoos published in a book. (very rare)
So im proud to have a tattoo by him. Nice guy aswell but drinks way too much fanta orange!
My Diet at the moment consists of pad thai for lunch, pad thai for dinner and hersheys and pistacio nuts to pig out on. I have lost alot of weight which is excellent and am on my way to losing my beer belly!
So as most of you may know by now, we are staying on phi phi don for Xmas rather than going to Koh Tao. The full moon party is on the 2nd of December so we shall get jobs on the 3rd and start working to pay for most if not all our accommodation.
We have a thai number out here and there is something called ratebusters, where you can call us for like 1p a minute. Just google ratebusters and if you want the number just let me know on here or on my facebook. We also have skype aswell so just add travelling.skype as the contact name and we shall arrange a time to chat and chill.
I hope you are all wrapped up warm as i heard its abit chilly over there!! MWAHAHAHAHAHAH!
Hope all is well and love and kiss to all my friends and family!
