We have been watching the blogs etc. with intense inerest! Also of course the photographs! It has just occurred to me and mum that we have the perfect job for Sammy on his return from his travels!

He can join Billy Smarts circus as the flame throwing tattooed man. Perfect for a career change. As a bonus they get IT skills - very compelling!

I'm out of hospital now, please don't send me back there with anymore photos of tattoos. I have read that you may have a couple more, what you don't realise right now is they look good on young skin but imagine when you're old and wrinkly what the design will actually look like - nothing like now! Might get a half sleeve but thats enough for me now. Might get another small one before we leave but we are getting jobs here on phi phi and then we can stay until after Xmas.

Thanx for the messages guys. We stayed very near the Mekong when we were in laos and we flew over it on the way into Laos aswell. Abit dirty! lol

Jay - I havent been in the sun too much cos i have either been travelling, ill or had the tattoo. The tattoo skin is just starting to peel so when that is off il be able to just go in the sun so i give myself afew days more and then im tan a GO GO! Hope you are ok mate and say hi to dan for me.

Tattoo update. Mum has now seen them too and they tell me I might be allowed to visit her later on today at the Bath Royal United Hospital Trauma Unit providing the sedatives have started to work!

Have now checked out the tattoo pics. An inspired discreet choice - the Mekong River Delta system n'est pas? Should be handy if you decide to do a sailing break in Vietnam!

Sam - You really need to get some colour in your cheeks. My a&se cheeks have got more of a tan than you and they have never, ever seen the sun in 36 years!
