Today we flew to Queenstown- simples.
The views we flew over were stunning and I was wishing i had the skills, time, could be bothered to stick to it etc etc to make a patchwork quilt of the plains. They were regimentally marked out with straight lines but some crops were grown in ovals, circles or even cake like segments within the whole. The colours were great and the patches of homesteads could be beads. I have no pictures because the camera battery was flat so the picture of me is nothing to do with the flight although there were snow capped mountains lining the plains.
On arrival at Queenstown we hired a car- yes another Nissan Sunny but this time its silver and I am learning to cope.
The place we have booked has stunning mountain views that Steve can't wait to climb. Its a gorgeous little place we have away from the city.
Steve has done a very funny photo montage of the Bach (kiwi for holiday home). He is in the kitchen- takes one step and he is in the laundry area, another step and he is at the dining room table, one more and he's on the sofa. A quick side step and he's in the bathroom/ toilet/ shower and one more step and he's in bed.
We have had a lovely tea of sausages and garlic mash and a glass of wine. We have just noticed the wine is 13% alcohol - if i have one more I might miss-count the steps and end up sleeping in the toilet.
