We are campervaners extraordinaire. That is I don't know anyone who has had so many issues and continued "their journey". The fridge has broken down.
How much worse could it get? Someone suggested it might not start so we rushed to check- yes it started so we moved to Nelson- a lovely cosmopolitan town apparently full of artists.
What makes the town more special is that it has a gluten free bakery!
We ate 2 pies and I think I can now say pies are not something I actually miss too much. Its fair to say my stomach is feeling disressed. Plus they didn't sell decaf coffee so what does a girl do with an uncomfortable tummy and a caffiene high? Walk in the park with no shoes on ON THE GRASS???!!!
Only my sisters can understand my not walking on the grass issue- Steve was very amused. In my defence my flipflops/jangles were making my feet sore.
We went to book in at the camp site and would you believe it- the lady was from Leicester and her daughter lives off the Hinckley Road at the moment. Her children were born at LRI too (don't know why that came up) and she has been here 4 years. What a small world. She says welcome to the sunshine capital so we rush off to the beach.
The beach was a good long walk through the campsite and Steve was dead amused as we had to walk through a stream to get to it. I had to stop to put on my beach shoes and remove my watch incase it got wet but the water didn't even get my ankles wet! Ha Ha Steve but you never know and who is it that usually falls in?
The beach was Steves favourite- quite like the norfolk beaches we went to as children and teenagers- all sand dunes and drift wood/ uprooted trees worn smooth.
First in the sea is a looser- OK that was me and I was last in. First sea swim of the holiday and many more to come hopefully.
Not to overdo a good thing we are out again straight away. Hot sun, sea, sand and chick pea crisps? Awesome.
