Hi to all. We are back inland in the Burgandy region. More chateaus, wineries and cute French towns. We enjoyed our day on the coast staying beside the highest sand dunes I have ever seen. Travelling to Burgandy put us in areas that had huge cattle farms and some of the biggest bulls you will ever see. Lots of beautiful scenery and of course when we got to Burgandy lots of vineyards. The vines are full of grapes they are just starting to pick. Travelled along one of the many canals that have a lock every mile or 2 to allow the boats to travel the river. They travel in boats like we do in a mororhome. Visited a hospital that was built in the 1400's and also a monastery built in the 1100's. We thought we were old!! Lots of wine. Visited a winery with a cellar that had 1000(100 gallon)barrels and another 7000 bottles. It was hard to drag Alice away. Leaving tomorrow for the Alsace region which is near the German border. Don't have time to visit Octoberfest in Munich so we will save that until 2015. Don't be afraid to send us a message on this site. We like to hear from home.
