From Briviesca to Burgos it turned out we needed to cross another mountain pass. We decided that we would still to the motorways (as the snow ploughs were out) and it provided to be a sensible choice. The snow came down and the wind picked up leading drifting on the side of the road, but the roads remained clear (unlike the UK today based the reports that we had heard about the snow falling in the UK). The route we had picked was indeed a scenic route and we had a climb up in to the mountains. We quickly noticed that the mountains did have a layer of snow on them and the rain was turning to snow. Yesterday was spent at the site, the weather cleared up we had glorious sun, warm in the Sun, freezing in the shade (after all it is March and not July). We had spent 36 hours on the boat, it had been a very calm crossing, very little swell. We did not see any dolphins or whales, although I did hear that some dolphins had been spotted.
