The drive to the planned campsite to the south of Anncey at the enterance to some gorges through the Alps, took use through Anncey where we had planned to stop for lunch and have a look around. Before reaching Annecy, we noticed a "Sports Supermarket" and stoppe to purchase a bolles set as we had promised Adrian that we would get some for the motorhome and this was the last chance before we left France.

The scenery was lovely and the mountains impressive, but the town turned out to be motorhome unfriendly and we could not find a place to stop. So we had to drive through town and follow the lakeshore line until we could find a place to stop for lunch. We found this in the form of a local tennis club were we had a very good and resonably priced meal. We then drive to the campsite in the base of the valley ready for the drive through the Mount Blanc Tunnel and into Italy. We settled for the night with the sound of Cuckoos and Mountain Goat Bells in the air.
