When we got up this morning, we decided to be bad and not go our pre-organised full day excersion, we just needed some chill time.

Breakfast a success, dinner a failure, so nothing new for us then. We ordered some mouth watering tuna and a salad, the tuna was raw and Jackie atually ate the salad, cos she said that the piece of tuna that she put in her mouth was growing. I know it's hard to believe that Jackie ate salad, so I took as photo to prove it.

After as few coffees we decided to explore the island on foot, we know experts tell you to stay on the beaten track, but we decided to go our own way and we are so glad we did, cos we found some more Moai statues, one even had eyes.

The we stumbled across a children's park and being adults like we are went on the swings and the seesaw. We had to come off the swings as we were going that high we made ourselves sick.

After leaving the park, we went to the harbour and saw huge turtles playing about in the sea, Rose did a monkey impression when she first saw them by pointing and doing the "ooo ooo ooo" noise.

After all this excitement we had another little walk to the end of the island roadway and turned back, both be quite parched we called into the local bar for a drink about 4ish, 6 hours later we came out of the bar and little worse for wear and we got our American friends in the same state and they had only called to say hello, well we couldn't leave then out now could we - that would be rude ? The total bar bill was $90, which is roughly £60, oh my god !!!!

The bar is only 2 minutes from our hotel, but it took us about 30 to get home. Not the best thing to do when we had a trip booked for 6.30 in the morning.
