*Day Nine Paris, France-I awoke after 25mg of Benadryl and 6 solid hours of sleep on the train. I slipped off the bunk and headed to the water closet; sponge bathed, and changed clothes. Shortly after repacking our packs, we arrived at the Paris-Nord station. We needed to get a few things done before our tour of Paris was to begin. First, we did not have reservations on a train to Brussels and needed to book then ASAP.We soon learned that all reservations were full except for 2 upgrade slots on the Thally's train at 41 Euros a piece. Tim refused this option and stated that we should check upon our arrival to the Paris Central Station.Next we needed to find coffee and breakfast ASAP.For some reason, we bypassed the train station coffee/pastry shop and ended up in the Metro tunnel with 100 other people from the night train, trying to get to central Paris. We jumped aboard a PACKED subway train headed towards The Central station.(I believe it was their rush-hour). All I remember from this not-so-fantastic ride is that was sweating like crazy, I still had no coffee, and I was hungry as hell! After about 30 minutes we arrived at the central station, checked our bags and headed up to the ticket counter. Tim sensing my caffeine and hunger level directed me to the appropriate café while he cleared up the reservation mess. Joining a bit later, I was much happier now, we informed me that he bought the 41 Euro upgrade as we had no other option. We then jumped another train and got off near the Eifel Tower.
