Here we are again! Seem to be writing these all the time as we are constantly on the move!! Got to Hervey Bay on Wednesday evening, and through the grapevine heard about an all you can eat mexican night at our hostel, so we hit the bar and ate our little hearts out!! Met some english people and headed off to a hidious club called Moroccos, vouchers in tow for free cocktails!! Some people say the place smells like dogs, some say it smells like sick - you'll have to go to make up your own mind!! We've come to the conclusion that we're not the best room mates as we rolled in early hours of the morn, to find a suncream explosion in stephs rucksack and continued to spend the next hour on the floor trying unsuccessfully to keep in our giggles as we wiped stephs electrical goods clean!! Next day we hit the beach, it would be rude not to as it is across the road! Had a nice swim in the sea but steph insists a salmon leaped our of the sea next to her! This time round all you can eat pasta was on the cards, so we obliged!! Yesterday we went on an adventure tour to Fraser Island, and spent the day exploring it in a 4x4 truck with the legend that is Captain Kangaroo leading the way!! Kicked off the day with a walk through the rainforest - not our favourite part! Saw most of the island, then went up in a seven seater plane that took off and landed from the beach (in the picture!) which was cool, we got to see the bush fires that we had been told about. After our awesome buffet lunch, we went to the best lake in the world (well we thought so!) our photos wont do it justice it was a stunner!! On the ferry back, all our efforts went into dodging the man with the peeling back - his peel was flapping off in the breeze it was vile!!! Last night had a nasty surprise when we were walking down the street - some loud mouths who we encountered in Surfers Paradise were back with avengance! We later discovered they were even staying at the same hostel as we walked into the bar - what are the chances!!!! After earlier trying to disguise ourselves with big sunglasses and a bag, we didnt seem as surprised to see them as they might have expected! The nasty surprise pattern continued when we got back to our room to find a gecko crawling round robyn's bed - we spent about 20 minutes trying to figure out how to get rid of the beast, talking tupperware boxes and everything but it was too quick so we gave up and went to sleep! Leaving for Cairns this afternoon, not looking forward to the 24 hour coach journey but will hopefully see you on the other side! xxxxxxxxxx
