We have left this a bit late and are trying to backlog so are just going to write the main bits from Cairns!! Arrived in beautiful, sunny Cairns after a hidious 24 hour coach journey with 5 twilight coach swaps and an egg on the windscreen. Our hostel was nice, we were greeted at reception by a crazy old nana called Gloria who was surprisingly on the ball - we loved her!! Made the most of our free hostel meals, although we were tempted by the steak upgrade more than once!! Our first day was spent on a catamaran at the Great Barrier Reef, went to a secluded island where we did some snorkelling, was awesome although we felt slightly shaken up when some people said they had seen sharks swimming round them!! Later, Robyn opted for the second batch of snorkelling this time in the middle of the sea. After a disasterous attempt she clambered back on board, but with a scared brit hanging off her flipper and a boob hanging out of her bikini! the crew got slightly more than they bargained for, and teased her for the rest of the day about paying boob tax. Next day hit the man made lagoon on the waterfront, pictures will explain we have not got time!! Next update will be Melbourne xxxx
