Good afternoon all or good morning depending when I can get on wifi to post this. Has been a good day, obviously arrived safe and sound Dubai. Plane journey was a long drawn out affair with delays and screaming children on board, plus having to sit a row behind someone that I think was a Morris dancer or just slightlyretarded, sadly I felt uncomfortable taking a picture of him to really explain his outfit but his hat was something only Jamariqui can only dream of. As always I couldn't sleep on the plane but managed to tuck into some red wine and watch xmen first class and transformers dark side of the moon. Both actually ok and the new

Arrived in Dubai at around 10 and the joys of going through an airport in the matter of ten minutes was strange, I actually missed the old codgers that are security guards which you get in England who have probably only ever seen a gun fired in a Clinton Eastwood film. Nonetheless we found the hotel crown plaza which is truly amazing, people can not do enough for you and the area surrounding it seems to just scream out money! Need to get me one of those yachts, perhaps a downpayment when redundancy money kicks in will solve it for me but probably need a bloody driving license for that as well!

Sadly I don't have a massive amount to report from the first day as I write this at 10pm Dubai time. Has been very relaxed spending majority of the morning and day catching up sleeping by the pool side. The pool is truly amazing and has a glass side and bottom which juts out of the side of the hotel which is odd when u are looking down 5 floors- I will get pictures of this.

Had me some middle eastern lamb for dinner while I watched tina picking bones out of her red mullet across the table from me. She will never learn just to pick what I pick, I know it's right, Dubai knows I'm right but yet she is left chewing on bones- school boy error so early on in the holiday.

As we speak I'm enjoying a cup of coffee, it would be beer but no alcohol in the hotel due to their religious holiday but my suspicions still remain that Tina phoned the hotel and surrounding hotels in advance.

Day 1 progress of my complexion is good, I can almost hear Ed and coddenhams sigh of disbelief but I swear there is some colour there, not long now before my rasta name comes back u reckon.

I hope everyone back in blighty is well but considering it's only day 1 I'll have mire to catch up on soon. Looking forward to boring you all alot more soon that's if anyone actually reads this.
