Good afternoon Britain and I write this bidding everyone a good afternoon from ko samui as I catch up on my blogs.
This one is going to be short and sweet, nothing against kuala lumpur as it is generally a nice city bit often cities tend to be very similar. We spent 3 days in total kuala lumpur but as always seemed to cover a lot of this by foot and in incredible heat.
We checked in at our hotel kist opposite the maybank building and stationed within walking distance to china town. Our first walk was to this very area and we took in much of what Chinatown had to offer, which is often weird and not often wonderful food. East of merdeka square stands the masid jemek mosque which was completed in 1909. Within Chinatown is kuala lumpur's mainly Hindu focus and this is often obvious from the nature of the building and people walking around the area.
We strayed out of this area and to the area known as the golden triangle. An area of much of kuala lumpur's affluence with many large shops, city buildings and it's main landmark the 'Petronas Twin Towers'. The building is easily recognisable due to the sky bridge connecting the two large sky scrapers and was also used in the ending scenes of the film of entrapment. To be honest Ivan really only remember Catherine zeta jones bum from that film but we nonetheless took or photos for tourism sake and
moved on.
To be honest nothing of much note happened really, we had various foods, walked around ALOT (Tina tells me this is good for me but we will have to see) and basically spent a pleasant time there. We were both looking forward to Bali so this was on our mind as we set off. Drink was kept a to minimum but I was allowed to treat myself with all the walking around with a couple of cold frosty ones.
