We've had a very busy week and covered much ground. Leaving Carnarvon, we had a long drive to Geraldton, catching up on some school work in the car on the way. In the space of about an hour, the countryside changed from red dirt and salt bush to mallee, then suddenly green farm land. Unfortunately we lost this weeks photos when transferring them from the memory card, and Larissa hadn't taken many this time!Snorkelling was enjoyed by everyone on the Ningaloo Reef. Some in the National Park at Lakeside, and Turquoise Bay. The strong currents were a bit quick to look at the fish and coral for any length of time. Leaving Barn Hill, we headed south, staying at some nice shady campsites along side creek beds. We then camped at Karijini National Park for two nights to explore the gorges. The camp ground was spread out, but basic and covered in iron ore dust. It felt like the pellet plant in Whyalla. After catching up on jobs in Halls Creek, and dragnetting the pool for our kids, we headed up the road towards the west Kimberleys. We decided to camp off the road at an interesting looking spot on the road up to Tunnel Creek and Windjana Gorge. The road was badly corrugated in parts. We relaxed in Kununurra for several days. The kids spent a lot of time in the pool, playing with other kids. The caravan park groundsman leant me his kayak, so I enjoyed a nice cruise around the lillies and old trees of the lagoon. Then we left to go camping in the Bungle Bungles.
