Colleen & Tom's Explorations
So this morning I woke early (more nightmares) and watched as we made our way down the Straits of Malacca. We just motored down ever so slowly, and continued to do so, passing the western parts of Singapore whilst we were having brekky. We also saw Bridget's mum and her husband Peter at breakfast, which was nice. After brekky we returned to our cabin to do the packing. Urghhh. Tom went down to the foyer on our level and retrieved our passports, then he went ashore into the cruise terminal to exchange our US Dollars for Singapore dollars. We had lunch up in the Windjammer before finishing our packing, relaxing and reading. Tom brought us a slice of pizza and a cookie each from the Promenade Cafe as an early dinner before we locked our bags and putting them outside our room for collection, leaving us with an overnight bag. The passengers on our shore excursion were assembling in a bar downstairs so we joined them and went ashore, climbed aboard a coach and headed for the Night Safari at the zoo. We did the little tram journey and saw lions, and tigers, and bears, oh my!! Good photos were rare. It was awfully hot and humid, but lovely. We returned to the ship by 11pm.
