Colleen & Tom's Explorations
Well, our time here is drawing to a close, and what a glorious time it has been. We feel we have made the most of our great adventure - only 2 items on our list not experienced: Carcassone (which we have driven around and shopped at a couple of times, and which has a fairy tale castle that supposedly inspired Walt Disney, and of course it has a wonderful restaurant overlooking the castle - don't all iconic French sights have the very important restaurant overlooking them? Meals (food and wine) are so important in France), and of course, the Millau Bridge - we just haven't had the weather/health to feel up to it the last few days. That's okay, life goes on. So today we took it easy, slowly gathering our belongings from all the various nooks and crannies in our cottage and packing them. Our suitcases need to be light for our first leg to Paris (and our hand luggage heavy), but then we can have it the other way around for the trip from Paris to home. And so for a different kind of reality....
