well we are writing this blog from Porto Iguazu but we are leaving for Buenos Aries in 2 hours! Since we last wrote, we just enjoyd the rest of our tme in Ihla Grande, doing lots of sunbathing. We left on Sunday on a boat that took forever so we missed our coach from Angra dos Reis direct to Sao Paulo, where we would fly to Iguazu. Instead we decided to do a round trip so we wouldnt have to wait in the bus station till the next morning! We ended up jumping on the next bus to Rio and then from there got another bus to Sao Paulo - oh how we`re loving these bus journey`s!
We didnt arrive in Sao Paulo till 2am on Monday morning, but we had booked the hostel we stayed in before so we just went there and crashed. We were planing and had reserved seats on a flight to Iguazu at noon on Monday but we were knackered so changed it to Tuesday and chilled for the day in SP instead!
We left on Tuesday for Iguazu and almost missed the plane as they changed the gate last minute and we didnt know! Arrived in Foz de Iguazu, which is still in Brazil (the waterfalls are on the border of 3 countries - Brazil, Argentina & Paraguay), and then got a taxi to Porto Iguazu on the Argentinian side, which is where we stayed. Everybody said this side was the best to see the falls and they weren`t wrong. We went to the falls yesterday. It was so amazing. Walked for hours around the park. Saw monkeys and some other weird creature that looked lke a racon but with a really long nose! Saw lots of the waterfalls and got soaked in the process, then had to walk around drying off when I looked like I had jumped into the falls! Did a boat trip which took you into 2 of the falls, that was so much fun but couldn´t see much on the account of thousands of litres of water crashing into our faces!
Went to a really cool bar when we got back to Porto Iguazu. Its called Terra & its down past the bus station if you are ever in the area! They let people write on the walls in chalk, so we left our mark! I think its a really cool Idea, there are messages written by people from all over the world and it doesn´t look messy its unique!
Last night there was a lunar eclipse, did you all see?! We were out having dinner about 11 - pople eat lat here, and our waiter pointed it out to us, was really pretty.
Anyway off to get some breakfast now before we go to the airport!
