I was complimenting your custard bus, like a warthog mother would compliment it's baby. The reason why the postcards are always 5 star is that I edit them, The website was designed in Germany I think.
Asked Hike about Ute and Geoff but Heike for some strange reason has gone to Germany for a visit so I'll let you know the outcome, or she can put a note on here in our absence.
Trust all well, was that worldwide financial collapse the other day anything to do with you????
Regards
Ralph

That´s not fair - I read all your blogs so far and even voted on most of them "good read"! But I think that bloody tool doesn´t work because its busy idling for hours without result. Probably made in Britain. Nevertheless I think our Beauty (known to some loony Brits as custard bus) looks far more stylish with a tent on top. Wish you a good trip Angela and Rowan.
Yours Flo
PS: Did you ask Heike and Clint weather they know Ute and Geoff from Cambridge?
Ralph
Hi Ralph Snr & Cesa
Thanks for update. Sounds like it is time to head south before the summer bad weather becomes winter bad weather. Upington is 90 F and sunny, but still windy which keeps us awake in rooftop tent at night.
Will phone before we head over border to Botswana

Hi Jeff
Thanks for update. So they let you back in at Heathrow this time? Tell the family in Colorado to get ready for our 2009 visit! Hope you had a good time at Lesley & Bill's
Thanks for message

Sitting here in a long sleeve rugger shirt, thick trousers and with the central heating on,I envy your next trip.I am so fed up with our awful weather, the "off to Spain "feeling is kicking in.Have only managed to get 9 hours flying in all summer, just as well that I didnt pay for all of the course upfront.
Meeting up with Nan and Pete and other friends next week at a national rally being held at Westpoint nr Exeter, should be good fun as we are planning a Tapas supper for the Saturday evening.I dont expect to encounter in the wilds of Devon any of the wildlife you see in Africa.
The comments you make in your latest blog, remind me of 1959 when the three of us returned from West Africa,I was making very much the same observations then ,it seems nothing has changed .
Enjoy Botswana, talk to you soon, love Dad and Cesa.

Hi Ralph and Angela,
I am just getting cought up on your last few blogs. I have been quite busy lately and was in the States for 3 weeks in late July and early August. The summer in the UK has been somewhat of a letdown (weather wise) but have been making the most of my time off. Colorado was gorgeous and the weather superb. I saw my entire family and my kids had a blast with all of their cousins, Uncles, Aunts, Grandparents, etc. Take care. Jeff

Congratulations to Karen and Graham in the UK following the birth of an 8.5lb baby Oliver yesterday morning. The hard work begins.......

Hi Heike
Pleased to read that the British students behaved themselves!
Leaving Durbanville this morning for Clanwilliam and then Namibia. Hope to see some flowers on the way assuming the rain stops!
Will ring later
Take care

Hi Ralph & Angela !
Hope you've enjoyed the sunshine of the last 2 days !!! Survived our Coventry hockey player - luckily she didn't behave as badly as the Argentinians !! Now the house is terribly quiet. Just to let you know that we have not received the driver's licenses yet. Holding thumbs for today. Will be in touch.
All the best
Heike

Hi All
Thanks for the birthday message Jessica, bet you were pleased to get back to work!
We've just arrived in Hermanus, whale watching capital of the world (so they say here!) Not as many whales as we saw off De Hoop but we've been assured more whales are arriving. We've been out in a boat and seen them closer but the sea was choppy so it was diificult to photograph them or anything else for that matter. Hope to put some whale photos on the site tomorrow if they were any good.
Weather is terrible, cold front from Cape Town has arrived so we've retired to a self catering chalet, fed up with gale force winds and rain!

Hi Heike
Thanks, heading in your direction now. Need sunshine and a minimum of 24C please! Fire, rain, snow and wind, is there anything else left?
