Hi Ralph and Angela . Trust you are well. We are set to head for the Kgalagadi again next week. Chris' sister and the brother in law (Portsmouth based) are here and gearing up for the trip. Rooiputs, Nossob, Polentswa, Mata-Mata, Kieliekrankie/Urikaruus on the agenda and there for just under a month. Well into 40's up there so should lose some weight counter-balanced by liquid intake.
When's next trip?
Ralph
Hi Emma,
Leopards are great! Had two in camp at Berg en Dal, female and juvenile. Spotted by petrol station and pool! They got the juvenile in a cage but when we left they were still trying to trap the mother.
Emma
Looks like you had great sightings in the Kruger. Hope you continue to have great adventures. Just been viewing a leopard wandering around camp here. Scaring all the staff as they go about their business. Ended up on our neighbours patio!

Hi Audrey and Ray
Belated thank you for the Christmas and New Year wishes. Many thanks for sorting out the water leak in the house and arranging the plumber and electrician.

Loving the new pictures can't wait to see more xx

Hi Beth and Perry. Great to hear from you. Didn't know you got to East Africa. I must say the prices put us off. It was painful enough going to Zambia and Malawi with the price of fuel for our V8 engine and the park charges in US dollars!
Landrovers, it's a love hate relationship! At least they have character unlike Toyota and Isuzu.
Maybe try a Ford Ranger if you want to do Africa again, sales have just overtaken the Toyota Hilux here in South Africa.
Ralph
Hi Ken & Nancy, yes the Disco is being repaired and improved as we speak (hopefully). Wrong weld used on new long range fuel tank, it leaked under pressure (water) test so it is being re-done today. No itinerary yet apart from Botswana for new year.

Ralph and Angela! Perry and I are loving your new pics... and experiencing a bit of Africa longing. Thanks for that. :) We wondered if you had abandoned your poor Disco.
We sold our Defender on our final safari Oct - Feb 2011/12. Perry celebrated, to be rid of the torture machine. I mourned the loss of Landy romance.
Did you know, the year before, we traveled from Jo'berg to East Africa and back? Hellish fun. I can't remember if you've been to Tanzania or Kenya... but don't waste your time. Sloppy and expensive and road insanity, that way. Although one of our favorite camps was in Tanzania - Kisolanza. They have a gourmet restaurant, run by a French chef, in the old farm house.
Hey. We look forward to your adventure tales!
Cheers - Beth

Hi Ralph and Angela, glad to hear that you are already testing out the game parks. Have you worked out an intinery yet? It would appear taht you are still with the Disco?
Ralph
Hi Lesley, all well thanks, in Joburg whilst car is being serviced etc etc. Angela lounging in pool this afternoon, hard work!
