Hi Heike
Good to hear from you. Just returned to Zambia after month in Malawi, lovely place, lovely people!
Heading for the Cape in early December if all goes to plan so see you there. Looking forward to a bit of civilisation after Malawi and Zambia!
Wine tasting sounds good, we've been on Overmeers Grand Cru 5 litres boxes, all that we can find or afford in this part of the world!
Take care
Ralph
Heike
Hi you intrepid travellers ! Love the latest update and the photos. Really amazing stuff - enjoying the armchair travelling for the moment! When are you starting your trek down south ? Look forward to seeing you. We'll also be spending our holiday in Cape Town this year - so should have lots of wine tasting opportunities. All the best Heike

Dear Goat Killer
Passed the memorial to the dead goat, lit a candle and said a few words. The Chief now has your email address and cell number in Holland!
Saw a leopard hunting bushbuck at 2pm with a shade temp of 42c! South Luangwa was stunning, like a giant Moremi!
Met a Dutch/Spanish couple with a dodgy 110 Defender, nice people and they don't kill goats, unlike you!

Dear Goat Killer
Thanks for the warning. The road remains very bad, the Chinese are supposed to be building a tarmac road in the next 3 years but meantime the corrugations are very very bad!
We will stop at the village and give the locals the goat killers name and email address!
Arjan & Patricia
South Luangwa.... we have some really great memories (animal sightings that is)..... But the road from Chipata to South Luangwa........ road to hell (I hope they fixed it...... And...... we killed a goat........ we drove... he/she crossed the road and 'touched' our bullbar....... not a pretty sight I can say....... So don't stop in that village, they don't like people driving a Land Rover responsible for a (g)(r)oa(t)(d)kill............ hahahahahaha

Hi Arjan & Patricia
You charmer Arjan, you know how to impress Patricia!
The big cats are proving elusive in Zambia, couple of lions and cubs so far after 12 days in game areas, and it is US$75 a day in the parks like Lower Zambezi and South Luangwa.
Heading for South Luangwa tomorrow, supposedly wall to wall leopard so maybe we'll get lucky before our money runs out!
After that we are in Malawi, hopefully that will be cheaper but not many parks or wildlife. Loooking forward to seeing the Lake though.
Enjoy Switzerland and don't take all your money out, you'll bankrupt them!
Love Ralph & Angela

WOW, great report again...... man, we love your stories..... Every night before going to bed we read one of them :-).... Still enjoying yourselves? Guess yes hahahahaha. Here everything is ok..... Antarctica 2 is coming closer. But first 1 week to Switserland..... Yep, good old Switserland. Just getting our money from the bank over there..... Patricia doesn'know it yet, but in 2 weeks when we are near Breinz, there is a big airshow in the montains.... One day, just going for a relaxing hike in these mountains... and then.... Fighterjets !!!!!!! Surprise...... I am looking forward to it :-)
Say hi to every lion en leopard and we will meet in the near future.....
Love

Hi Craig and Lynn
Nice to hear from you. KTP was quiet by Jan/Feb standards, apart from the ones pictured at Rooiputs we saw 1 lion at Houmoed and nothing in 4 days at Nossob.
Mabua made up for it though!
We will be back in KTP Jan/Feb 2011, are you planning a trip?
Take care

Thanks for the updates they are amazing. I feel homesick for the Kgalagadi. We are hoping to get there soon again. Take care of yourselves and enjoy your travels.

Hi Arjan & Patricia
Good to hear from you.
We are envious, all those cold weather holidays coming up!
We've gone from winter to summer in a couple of days here in Botswana, the days are very warm now.
Set off for Caprivi then crossing to Zambia at Katima Mulilo in a week or two.
