Loading a postcard from Britstown before we got there was tempting fate!

When we were back in the UK people asked what our scariest moment in Africa had been, and we were pushed to answer. Now I can answer that question easily, a Landrover Discovery having a rear tyre blow out whilst towing a trailer!

Fortunately we were cresting a hill at the time with a decent verge either side but to say I needed a change of underpants would be an understatement.

We are fine but the tyre steel lacerated the fuel tank connectors and parts of the bodywork. Landrover can't get the parts for 2 weeks so Upington is in danger of becoming our Groundhog Day town!

Whilst Landrover see if they can repair the damage instead, we've changed all the tyres for Cooper Discoverers on the principle that we don't fancy an 80 kph roller coaster again.
