Ralph & Angela's travels
Arrived in Upington, gateway to the Kalahari, this lunchtime after a 410 km drive from Kimberley, after a 460km drive from Golden Gate National Park the day before.
This is a big country! The GPS instruction leaving Kimberley was "Turn right in 275 kilometres"
We discovered in Golden Gate that the trailer tent cover has a leak. The first night there was spent in the little tent we bought. First time I've slept on the ground since I was 8 years old and don't care to repeat it, it's very hard (which by a strange coincidence is what Angela said as I got in to bed)
The mattress has now dried out and we are hoping that there is little or no rain from now on (we are heading in to the desert so it had better not rain!)
Next stop the Kalahari at Kgalagadi National Park
