I think back to all the characters that I met on this trek (Vishnu, Bishnu, Raju, The Old Man in Dharapani, The Roka Family, Shima Family, Kalpana, Krishna, the Little Girl from the forest, Tensen and the Doctors.) They all have a place in my mind and in my heart.
I recently had another toilet paper issue, which is absolutely impossible to find in rural Nepal. Really hard to find in Nepal period. The squat position is just something I can't master, I've had a few people try to show me, but there is no hope. I need a seat. I had to resort to gauze wrap to wipe my ass at the end of this trek. I then had to use the package that the guaze wrap came wrapped in. And unfortunately now I have to use a trauma pad from my first aid kit. i just don't want to wipe my ass with my hand.
1 more day until the relative comfort of Beni and internet and food. This trek has been incredible - sweet and love filled people. The memories are so vivid. I can still remember the ridiculous sounds the Nepalis make to scare away their chickens from their living rooms.
