It was so nice to wake up today and know we had 3 days of relaxing and exploring in this beautiful little place called Adels Grove. We had a early wake up by the kids but a slow morning with breakfast leading into morning tea.
We headed up to the office to book into some cruises. We booked into the Up The Creek cruise for this afternoon and the Lawn Hill Gorge cruise in the national park for tomorrow. We went back to camp to put Ed to bed and everyone else went exploring around the area and paddling around the creek in Jan and Graeme's kayak, Mitch and Kirra even spotted a Crocodile. Brad and I decided to get some fish and chips for lunch from 'the shack'. For such a remote area this place has such great facilities.
Ed woke after 2 hours (a record nap for this trip), had some lunch then we all went to the beach for a swim. The water was pretty cold but you got used to it quickly and it was very refreshing, it was so clear you could see the bottom.
At 4pm we headed out on our cruise up the creek. For Ed's safety I decided to put him in the baby carrier, he was not impressed by being so restricted when all he wanted to do was explore the boat, so out he came and we took turns holding on to him, which he also hated. At one stage Brad had him standing at the side of the boat and he was lifting his leg up to try and climb over the side to get into the water, Ed is one crazy kid! It was a beautiful cruise and a lovely way to end the day.
