Well this is officially my first blog entry all the way from Finland. I arrived late yesterday evening after a really long day of traveling. The journey was fine to be honest. The slightly overwhelming thing was Helsinki airport which was just massive and made me panic ever so slightly. However after explaining my situation to some very helpful Finnish airport people I made it to my next flight.

I arrived in to Kajaani airport, which is the smallest airport that I think I have ever seen. Even smaller than the airport in Pula in Croatia. Despite its size it still was very nice.

The apartment that I am staying at is lovely. It is brand new and really quite big. My room has so so much storage space in it which is good, although something that has never happened to me before is that I have unused wardrobe space.

I have had a wee exploration of the town today and it seems very nice. My new flatmates are very friendly and I am excited about what I can discover over the next few days.

Tomorrow we are having an orientation day which will give me a good chance to figure it all out and then classes start on Monday. On Monday there is also a opening ceremony for the semester which sounds interesting.
