hey people - said i'd get better at this - plus this hostle has free internet and im waiting for my washing to dry! (altho wont be able to upload any pics but will post more soon!!!)

anyways last time i spoke i was in sunny portland and boy was it warm and id decided to go to the beach for the weekend to make the most of the nice weather - oh boy was that a mistake!!!

so i got there and it was lets say chilly but it was about 8pm so i assumed it was just a costal cold thing! so ended up talking to this random chinese dude who was telling me all bout random travelers web sites - so much learnt so far!

oh and let me tell you about the freaks that were in my room - one was an old dude who basically was never really there and the other was i think an excaped mental patient as he just randomly wittered on about nothing - needless to say when i went to bed i feared for my life - however think he should of because i was ready to kill the b****** as ive never heard someone snore so loud and for so long that that nut bar!!! luckily i have music to drown him out!!!

so the next day i was preparing for a nice hot sunny day on the beach - and as all plans go when you plan to go to the beach it was cold and randomly foggy!! but seaside was a cool place kinda reminded me of a small blackpool

so basically was a bit of a waste of time going there but hey we learn from these mistakes!!!!

so i had to get up early the next day to go back to portland to get the overnight bus to san fran - and b***** me it was hot and f***in sunny there - not fair

so managed to get on the night bus and try and sleep on the bus - altho bus event story - this dude got thrown off the bus for drinking - ok not an amazing story but hey it was v dramatic at the time - maybe i should embelish it ok he had a gunn and was swigging whisky from a bottle and was a fight to the death between him and the bus driver - ok i went to far but you get where i was going

anyway got to san fran in one piece and took the 20 minutie walk to the apparent best hostle in the world as voted for by anyone ive spoken to about staying in hostels

the place is nice enough - i managed to get my self a bit tipsy last night oh well theres free food and free drink so i cant complain
oh and i managed to get my self accosted by a hooker - i should explain the hooker thing - well i was walking back from town (after id de minged from that bloody bus journey i needed food) and i was making my way back to the hostle i was about to cross the road when i saw this woman coming from the direction of the hostle and waving - i assumed that she was waving at someone behind me so i carried on walking listening to my mp3 player but then she stops walking and starts beckoning me with her finger - to be fair she was standing on the corner where the hostle was and in my direction so i walked past her - she then says that 'she wants to talk to me ' now all i have screaming in my head is DIRTY HOOKER TRYING TO ROB ME!!!!! so i quickly said no thank you and lets say walked quickly to the hostle! i wouldnt have minded but god was she ugly!!!
i also met up with barbra and karen who i met in chicago and am off to yesemite nation park with them at the weekend - plus met neil a dude i met in seattle here aswell - its a very small world!!!
