After two exciting days spent at the island, we wave goodbye to the wonderful place as we head back towards shore! We landed at another harbour near Airlie beach and boarded Heidi again as we headed to emu park. We said goodbye to charlie as she continued on her journey elsewhere. It's a long drive day! We stopped by the singing ship monument that was built to commemorate Captain James Cook who once sailed along the East Coast of Australia and chartered these waters before arriving at our next destination, the Emu Park Resort. We took a long walk to the town get some groceries and exercise before heading back to barbecue dinner! We had plenty of sausages, prawns, fish and baked pasta. It was good filling food in a nice comfortable setting! Upon having some drinks after dinner, we appeared again in the gathering area in our togas, ready for the olympic games! We formed teams of 5, and my team comprising of Danielle, Akemi, Naomi, James and myself, and we called ourselves 'Girls Just Wanna Have Fun!' We had 6 teams with 3 teams: Darts, Beer Pong and Flip Cup. Unfortunately, we only won Beer Pong, but we had a good laugh watching James who was so bad at Darts! It was a close fight with the other team at Beer Pong, where we had to get out ping pong balls into the cups of the opposite team by either throwing or bouncing. The defense was just a straw! Flip Cup was a team effort, where each member had to take turns finishing their drink and flipping their cup with their finger before the next member can continue. We were too slow Although we did not win, we had lots of great fun! By midnight the wheel of misfortune was taken out in the bar, where out fate was dependent on where the wheel had stopped. I ended up having to sing the national anthem while standing on top of the fridge! By midnight everyone was getting tired so we left to return to our rooms to rest for the fun-filled day that awaits tomorrow!
