We arrived on the beautiful MagneticIsland which reminded us of the island from the film "50 First Dates" (you will know what we mean if you have seen the film) But basically you get bus drivers with Hawaiian shirts etc and lots of people in high party spirits! This leads us on to the joys of hostel life "Part 2". We were staying in tepee style wooden huts - very tropical & cool that was until one of the lads in our hut got so drunk and decides to throw up all over the floor. Not to want to put a downer on a party, but there is a time & place to do that - DIRTY PIG!!!! Anyway moving on today we hired Kayaks, thought it would be fun. That was until the man who we hired them from was only too happy to let us know that the buoys we could see floating about in the sea were in fact "Shark" bated. And that we were to keep an eye on them, so if one disappeared we knew there was a shark about - How Reassuring??? So we did no more than get our toes wet, paddled close to the shore and gave up on the whole idea after about 10 minutes, then headed straight back to the safety of dry land. It's been a relaxing few days, next we are off to Cairns??.
