After a 5 hour bus from Nha Trang, we arrived in Mui Ne just after lunch yesterday. The place we are staying is right on the beach with its own pool and we are in a nice 6 person dorm. We met up with our Irish friends in the early evening and retired to the bar next to the hostel to watch the rugby and football, neither of which we ended up watching, and then a few of us headed to a great bar right on the beach with a large bonfire and fire dancers.
This morning we decided to do a tour of the sand dunes around Mui Ne and booked an afternoon tour through the hostel. The tour was great and we drove along the coast in an old battered jeep to 2 sand dunes which were fairly impressive. Kids were trying to get us to rent their sledges which was funny and we ended up sat on top of a big dune watching the sun set which was lovely.
Mui Ne is famous for its seafood so tonight we headed to a local place recommended by someone we met at the pool. For £3 you got 12 fresh BBQ'd prawns in garlic and butter which were absolutely delicious. I think we'll probably go again tomorrow!
Nothing planned tomorrow so going to spend the day enjoying the beach and pool. On Tuesday we are leaving for Saigon with the Irish and our booked into a hostel for a few nights while we decide how long we want to spend their!
