Sorry for the delay. We are still alive! We spent our last day in Bangkok doing a cycle/boat tour which was absolutely superb. We visited loads of little back streets which we would never have seen otherwise, toured all the small canals that surround the city and cycled through plantations which were absolutely beautiful. Last night we ended up in Chinatown and enjoyed loads of amazing food from a variety of street food vendors (see picture) at prices so cheap it was insane. A box of vegetable noodles cost 10 bhat (20p) and that was almost the most expensive thing we bought. The plan was to leave the hotel by 9 but due to a very sleepy Sarah we headed out just before 10 to the local metro station. We decided (mostly my influence) to start our time in Thailand by visiting the Bangkok snake farm which is run by the Red Cross. The facilities main purpose is to extract the venom from locally found snakes to be used as anti venom to treat snake bite victims.
