Last night we had a few drinks and went to the Chiang Mai cabaret. It was hilarious! It consisted of a mixture of drag queens and lady boys dancing and miming to classic songs while running around the audience and getting people involved. We almost didn't stop laughing the whole time we were there!
Today we went on a trek into the jungle with a company we found in town. We started off by drifting down the river on bamboo laughs, avoiding snake and rapids while trying to stay balanced on the raft. After an hour we jumped out of the river and went to meet some elephants which was really fun. There was a 5 month old baby who was really playful.
After some lunch and a rest we started our trek and headed towards a waterfall where we all jumped in the river to cool off and had a swim which was great.
We got back to town just after 5 and we were exhausted. We had a rest and a shower then headed out for dinner and a wonder at the local Sunday market. It was absolutely packed but the food was delicious! We also had our first massage of the trip which cost £1.60 for a half hour head, neck and shoulder massage.
Tomorrow we are off the Chiang Mai zoo and then a relaxing evening at the hostel bar.
